Founded in in 2011 we have been brewing with a 10 HL brewery in a large brewpub in Finchley, London since January 2014.

Having secured ongoing listings with groups such as Mitchells & Butlers and establishing great relationships with some of the best
independent Craft Beer sites across the capital, we are now ready for our next step. We are looking for an individual
with the capability to take us there and your opportunity to create something bigger.
If you are a Brewer with 3-5 years brewing experience in a moderate sized brewery who has Heriot Watt or IBD
equivalent qualifications you should apply. You will develop, oversee and manage all elements of the Brewing
process. From optimising and creating the highest quality beer, securing the highest quality of raw materials to
defining technological aspects of the brewing process on available equipment.

The ideal candidate will:
Be a positive forward thinker, half glass full self-starter who can drive the business forward
Be ready to improve upon existing recipes, will have the scope to create some experimental fresh and
exciting new beer
Have great team working & communication skills with the ability to inspire others within the brew team &
manage their time effectively
 Be flexible, reliable and confident in making their own decisions
 Develop and manage departmental KPI’s for H&S, Quality, Environment, Raw materials, Utilities and plant
 Own and maintain quality systems to manage specifications for raw materials, WIP and finished goods
 Have experience in brewing science, H&S regulations, quality assurance and control. Have some experience
in laboratory operations
 Attained formal brewing education such as the IBD Diploma in Brewing or equivalent
 Have strong IT skills & project management skills

Responsibilities include:
 Ensure the quality and consistency of our beers always exceeds our customers’ expectations and
troubleshoot and remedy problems should they arise
 Oversee recipe development and strategize for continuous improvement on all of our beers
 Define brewing objectives and align objectives with the budget. Equipment purchasing decisions, staffing
and sourcing of raw materials must be managed in line with the production budget
 Train and support the ongoing development of the production team. Set clear goals and manage
performance to agreed outcomes
 Implement all EHS and compliance driven policies and procedures into brewing Operations
 Ensure employees are working in a safe environment and Food Safety Standards are adequately maintained
 Document all relevant data and ensure the necessary information is shared and communicated to the
relevant stakeholders. Keep accurate records and written procedures are followed
 Present brewery performance through agreed KPI’s (BH Efficiency, Cellar Efficiency, Process time, Plan
accuracy, Equipment Utilisation, Ext and Beer Losses, Productivity)
 Work towards SALSA compliance
 This role will require you to periodically attend festivals, meet customers and lead events on behalf of the
company and in doing so must behave as an ambassador of London Brewing Company
